Texo acquires Orca Subsea to form Texo Marine

Aberdeen-based engineering firm Texo Group has acquired Orca Subsea to form a new subsidiary, Texo Marine.

Texo Marine will provide support, technology and engineering services in the diving and ROV spaces. Parent company Texo Group said it will make  significant capital investment available for its subsidiary to acquire new and advanced equipment to facilitate further growth and service development.

The business will be based at Texo Group's Westhill, Aberdeen headquarters and will have an additional strategic operational base at fellow group member Texo Fabrication’s new vessel mobilisation and demobilisation facility, at the Port of Blyth.

Texo Group's strategy is to offer turnkey services to both UK and global markets, encompassing initial design through to lifecycle management of critical assets. By providing these services the group aims to become a leading inspection, engineering, procurement and construction specialist for sectors including oil and gas, renewable and clean energy, marine, nuclear, telecoms, utilities and critical infrastructure.
