DOF Subsea wins frame agreement and short-term contracts

Bergen, Norway-based subsea services firm DOF Subsea has been awarded a frame agreement for Wintershall and two contracts for undisclosed clients in the Atlantic region.

Under the Wintershall agreement, DOF Subsea will provide survey, light construction and inspection, maintenance and repair services on an as-required basis. The initial duration of the agreement is for three years, with options for a further four years.

Skandi Neptune will provide environmental survey and subsea inspection services during Q3 this year on projects in the North Sea for the two undisclosed clients.

Built in 2001 to a Marin Teknikk MT 6016-CL design, Skandi Neptune is an ROV construction support vessel fitted with a heave-compensated 250-tonne crane and two work-class ROVs rated to 3,000 m. It measures 104.2 m in length, 24 m in breadth, has a draught of 6.3 m and a dwt of 5,098. It has provision to accommodate up to 106 people. The vessel participated in cleaning up the oil spill that followed the Deepwater Horizonexplosion in 2010.
