Software developer Yxney Maritime has reported growing demand for its energy efficiency visualisation software Maress in the offshore sector.
Siem Offshore, Olympic Subsea and North Sea Shipping are the three latest operators to join Yxney's client portfolio, alongside Solstad Offshore.
Yxney's cloud-based Maress visualisation software utilises existing data streams from vessels alongside AIS and other data sources to provide actionable information and an overview of the performance of individual vessels and an operator's fleet as a whole.
“Maress allows shipowners to work closely with clients to reduce fuel and emissions,” said Yxney chief commercial officer Sindre Bornstein.
“The full energy efficiency potential becomes visible when Maress is used to monitor fleet performance. The ability to visualise efforts with hard data is a motivational factor for everyone involved – crews, onshore personnel and not least clients.”
More than 150 vessels, including PSV, AHTS and CSV ships now use Maress to boost their green credentials, with notable names from the three new clients including North Sea Giant, Olympic Challenger and Siem Pride.
